Potassium Metabisulphite

  • All wine / beer making equipment should be sterilized with a sulphite solution
  • Dissolve ½ tsp. of sulphite crystals in 4 or 5 Lt. of warm water
  • Sterilization is achieved by shaking your containers with this sulphite solution in such a way as to allow the sulphite solution to completely bathe the interior walls.
  • DO NOT RE-RINSE WITH WATER!! This is your final rinse
  • Can also be used for Sterilizing Musts!
  • Dissolve ¼ tsp. into 4 Lt. of must prior to fermenation
  • Wait 24 – 48 hours and then add your yeast
